Hello Everyone,
I guess by now everyone has figured out I am VERY new at Digital Photography and really photography in general. I am looking for good sources to learn as much as I can about photography and especially digital photography. Does anyone know of 1) Good Books to read 2) Good Videos to watch 3) On-Line Courses to take 4) Good Magazines to subscribe to 5) Good Websites to visit OR any other source which you feel could benefit a very "NEWBIE" to this GREAT hobby?

Thanks for you help and advice.

some magazines :

Outdoor Photographer (believe it or not)
Popular Photography

they're the two big ones - I myself subscribe to OP, got a good deal on ebay - $10 for three years ;)

There are others, although I prefer those two over most of the others.

Books :

National Geographic field guides are good - there is a general one on photography, and there is also one on digital photography also.

Go have a look around a Barnes and Noble - they've always got some good books :)

Hey Lisa,

Thanks for these names. I don't live very close to a Barnes and Nobles (about 1-1/2 hrs.). I having been looking everywhere around me and having NO luck with photo magazines. I found one called American Photo and it is not great!

I wonder if I could find something at Amazon.com? Will also look at eBay as you did.

Thanks again,
Bryant
