First go with "Neat Image" and a combinattion of PS7.
here is my attempt:
Steps:
Fix colors with levels
Select fish, and feather 3 pixels
Apply a sharpening filter on the fish
Reverse selection
Apply a blur filter on the rest
Save as a JPG
Open in Neat Image and do a slight cleaning of noise

SUPERB! I tryed to use the neat image for most of it...lol...didnt realise you used PS so much....I'll know next time [smilie=mf_prop.gif]
IT depends on the image. I usually dont but this one was way too unfocused, and needed separation of the fore- and background. That was the easiest way to do it. It would be much better if I had the time to do it slowly, but this is just a quick way.

That was my attempt...
Blurred background to bring Ram into contrast
Despeckled Ram
Colored up the Ram
Ta Da
If can edit the original file (the big file), the result will be even much better!!!
