First go with "Neat Image" and a combinattion of PS7.

here is my attempt:

Steps:
Fix colors with levels
Select fish, and feather 3 pixels
Apply a sharpening filter on the fish
Reverse selection
Apply a blur filter on the rest
Save as a JPG
Open in Neat Image and do a slight cleaning of noise

SUPERB! I tryed to use the neat image for most of it...lol...didnt realise you used PS so much....I'll know next time [smilie=mf_prop.gif]

IT depends on the image. I usually dont but this one was way too unfocused, and needed separation of the fore- and background. That was the easiest way to do it. It would be much better if I had the time to do it slowly, but this is just a quick way.

If can edit the original file (the big file), the result will be even much better!!!
