Alrighty... I have a thread in the "Photography 101" forum, I think it's right here (http://aquatic-photography.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=244)?

I got some great advice and made a whole bunch of attempts and think I came up with a few good ones.

This is the same tank, in addittion to moving the rocks, I messed with the lights and isolated the direction a bit more, also Meg found that the center of the tanks (3D) background was about 2" away from the tank, so she re-attached that.

I used the same camera settings (ISO=50, Flower/Macro, no flash, and targeted the "[ ] [ ] [ ]" a little better. I'm embarrassed to say how many pictures I actually had to take to get these but am fairly happy with the results, so far.

I appreciate all of the support and advice that I've gotten, you guys are great! I will keep working at it and appreciate any comments/advise that anyone may have to help me take better pictures.

By the way, I'm not sure how many pictures one should post in a thread, I don't want to exceed the limit, or post "un-courteously" to any members that may be using a dial-up connection. If I post too many pics, please STOP ME!! [smilie=biggrin.gif]

nice. very nice.

You could use a little help with software cleaning up images. I took one to Before / after and cleaned it up with instructions. Link HERE (http://aquatic-photography.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1786#1786) Try it.

Thast the good thing about digi cams, save money on film. [smilie=biggrin.gif]

I take an average of about 75-100 pix a night!

Wow, that's a big improvement!! [smilie=c: Agree with Gordeez, it's not possible to get 5 descent photos for only 5 shots. I have taken more than 60000 shots by Sony DSC-F707 since 2 yrs. And, what I've got is few hundred ok photos.

My keep rate is about 10%. Most of the rest are trashed.

Cheers,

Thank you, I don't feel too bad now, but I did take more than Gordeez's average and my success ratio was much lower than benny's.

But I think that the last few days I've been happier with my photos, thanks to the very helpful folks HERE. I'll keep working on them, and showing them off if you guys will keep helping me to take better shots?
