Has onyone here used them?
I am thinking about getting a +3 or +4 diopter lens for macro shots.

Will that do me any good?

Nobody ever used this?

I need to know if its worth a shot to get one of these...

Have not tried them personally, but these are basically close up lenses that lets you get closeer than your camera would normally allow. Trade off is image quality. The results can be suprisingly good.

Why don't you see if the shop will let you try it for a while. It's not a lens anyway, just a screw in filter. I don't think they will be so fussy.

Nice, I look forward to seeing some shots at a lower ISO setting.

I have the Hoya macro set for my old Canon Rebel (35mm). I haven't used then for fish photography, but for everything else I've been happy with the results.

This is one of my favorite! Like a family excursion.

And your albino cory is looks very healthy, as with the rest of your fishes.

I used the Hoya close up lenses on my 828 and they worked ok. There are much better close up lenses out there, but these do ok. You just have to take alot of pics to get the distance right. I have some pics I can post up when I get a chance.

I also have the Hoya Close-up lenses, but for the 707.
Its the only way my Camera can actually focus on the Convicts.
Like Verse Said, you have to play around and get the distance right, but they work for me.

That's actually my favorite among the bunch also. Interested in knowing what kind of pleco that is and if they're safe for planted tanks. =)

Its common bristlenoses.

I love my Hoya lens, now after having it for a while.
Works great for closeups.
