I would rather get the new nikon.
It`s for a lot cheaper too!

I'd rather have the 1DmkII instead of the 1Ds... s is for studio... I'd be using the lens out in the field a lot more... the huge buffer and fast frame rate of the 1DmkII would suit me much better... then again...both cameras are severely out of my price range!

i'm aiming for the mk II (not the s, the regular 1d) becuase i do alot of wildlife and animal work, as well as i'm in the process of starting up my own pet photography business for more money. So, i need the faster frame rates.
the 1ds is more for landscapes because of the full frame, you're able to get wide shots... course, because of the size of the sensor, there are reports of more noise than in the smaller ones in high contrast situations.

Now..if only it was in my hands....

well, depending on the situation, i know alot of photographers happy to drop that kind of money. Heck, if i were doing something such as weddings, fine art landscapes and portraiture, i'd gladly throw down that kinda money.
But, I ain't. I shoot landscapes and wildlife - so my next camera better have a 1.3 crop ;)

Yeah I guess I can see that but I thought most wedding photo people were still using more of the old style non-digital cameras to do their art?

nope - go explore fredmiranda.com - most of the photographers on there that shoot wedding are using digital.
