please recomend lens

I am in search of a good lens to take fish photos. Can anyone recomend a lens for a Minolta Maxxum Htsi plus? I just can't seem to get close enough with the 2 lenses I have. Unless I am doing something wrong? I currently have Minolta 35-79 & a Sigma 70-30. I would like to know how much molah I have to save up!!! :shock:

How close do you want to get?

If you are thinking of going up real close, you might want to consider getting a macro lens. The Sigma 105mm or Tamron 90mm should do the job (hopefully they have a Minolta mount).

sigma have minolta mounts, although they are usually a little bit more than the nikon or canon mounts
