Prior to using Photoshop CS, did you by any chance use Photoshop 7? And have you long ago uninstalled it from your computer? If so, here's a great way to free up a big patch of space on your hard disk: Go to the desktop level and search for "FileBrowser" (one word). You'll find a FileBrowser folder. Open it and inside you should find a folder called Photoshop7. Assuming you made frequent use of Photoshop 7's File Browser, this folder is stuffed full of cache files that you no longer need. Throw it away and you'll reclaim anywhere from 100MB to a 1GB of storage space.

can I delete it or at least its contents if I still use PS7? Have not gotten CS yet :)

BTW, is CS that much better?

From what I heard, it seems like CS is able to support RAW files directly with some plugins? I don't seem to be able to open RAW files using PS7. There should be more features that I am not aware of.

I wish I knew how to use Photoshop. I have a version 6 at home but have no idea how to navigate it.

If i remember right, there was no need for any plugin to read raw data from my Canon EOS 10D with Photoshop CS. But for the new cr2-raw format coming with Canon EOS 20D, you definitely need a plugin. You can find it -> here (http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=2609) - no official support for 20D, but it works ;-)

Hmm.... I might be wrong. I have no experience with CS so it's all guessing game for me

You will need to download the "Adobe Camera Raw 2.4 Beta" plugin.....

Enjoy!
