Hi guys,

These were taken at Aquarama 2003 which was held at Singapore in October.

Great pictures benny,

Was the actinic bulb ON on that tank ? Did you set manual white balance ? When I snap pictures of salt water tanks or fish at LFS I usually get bluish haze unless white balance is set.

I'm not sure if I caught what camera you are using ??

Thanks for the compliments.

The actinic bulb was not turned on when I took the picture. If it was, I would have to remove the blue haze in photoshop with the "auto level" function. It usually works quite well.

I'm using a Canon D60, and it has a crappy white balance function (as compared to 10D or 300D). It does not have an auto white balance function (or at least I didn't know about it as I'm too lazy to read the manual). The sad thing about this was that I had it for only 6 months when they introduced the 10D, which I would have very much prefered.

benny,

Guess what.

Canon D60 has 7 types of White balance, including auto and custom.

Oh.... I better go read up more on this. But the intereface for this on the LCD is definitely not as friendly as the one on the 300D then.

Thanks!

Bro benny, when will you have a book of aqua photography? [smilie=c:

Yeah, I do one and have to give them away for Christmas for the next 25 years becaues no one will buy it. The quality of my stuff are still far far from the books that I have seen on the market.

Maybe in 25 years. I'll send you a copy for christmas if I do! [smilie=biggrin.gif]
