Got this baby from my friend, in which he got it when fishing near a river [smilie=lol.gif]

A few of her legs were broken during a fight with another male cray.

Thanks benny!
Their legs do look tiny as compared to their body size but you will be surprised at the speed they hunt. A cover is also a must as they are really good climber.

Very cool. I debated getting one of these, but I've heard they'll attack kill fish if they are within reach, so I suppose it's best to keep them by themselves. Do you keep yours with anything?

Great pics, that one of the head is a bit creepy though [smilie=biggrin.gif] . I used to have a regular brown crafish and it was a very fun pet. But yes they eat everythign they can get their claws onto, and that can include your fish and in my case plants.

Well, I have not actually tried mixing with other fishes yet (my other fishes are all bigger than her [smilie=mf_prop.gif] ). However, I heard from my friend that one of his was killed (only the shell is left) by his FH when he tried to put them together.
From what I have heard, crayfish are rather fragile during the time when they are changing their shell and that is the most dangerous time for them when kept with other fishes. Also, when keeping a few of them together, it is better to go for similar sizes or else the smaller ones might get killed easily too. When these guys are hungry, they will do anything.

Haha.... when that pic first came out, I was asking myself, "Well, is this some kind of 'monster' in another Hollywood's movie?" [smilie=lol.gif]
The 1st photo is great, while the rest are a bit under exposed, IMHO.

Under exposed? Hmm...... I am trying to figure that out too. Could that be due to some settings on the monitor? It was fine on my screen at home but appears to be so (under) on the screen in my office too [smilie=huh.gif]

The white one will be even nicer (if you have seen it before).
I can see the macro shot is in well saturated color, but not others, on the same CRT monitor. Therefore, I guess it's not the prob of the monitor.

Hmm.... in that case, i will try to make some minor adjustment to the pics and repost again tonight.

Thanks! I only made some adjustment to the contrast. Nothing else.
Yeah, I know, I would do the same thing.
