This is one very very lucky shot:
F2.0, shutter 1/30 sec, no flash!!

This is how the aro can jump very high. It curves its body like a spring and stretch in a sudden in the next moment.

Here are some more shots of the arowana: (though not as nice as the 1st pic)

This pic is not in correct color, it should be golden!!!

This pic is close to reality.

I love the scales shot, it's hard to take good pic of this area coz this part is always moving back and forth toward the camera:

Thanks. Did you notice the shutter speed was 1/30 sec!!! Just look at those aeration bubbles fly around like worms you would know how lucky the shot was. [smilie=mf_prop.gif]

Is your background black or it's a photoshop job? Nice pics though.....

Yup, the background is black which is my favorite for aqua photography.

Hey CDM,

The first picture is really something different. A definite keeper. Most arowana pictures are just standard side profile shots or close ups. Thanks for sharing!

Yup, the background is black which is my favorite for aqua photography.

Mine too! Lots of advantages of using black background. Shadow control is much easier for one.

Cheers,

Yeah, I feel boring on taking profile shots of aros. I'm playing the turning around shots, though the rate of good photos is damn low. [smilie=oops2.gif]
