I always sit around with the camera, the fish eventually get used to it. And, no quick movements, just smooth and flowing. It's just like when you turn on the light fish dart around but then they get used to it, right? Also, after a while they know what you are doing. Gotta give them credit, fish are pretty smart for their size. Mine know when i am feeding them and when I am doing water changes, and when I am filming some go hide and others just prance around.

IN my 29g angel/rainbow/cory tank, I have a cat who wont let me take pics of cories. he darts all over the ground at the speed of light and you can not take a pic of any cories or him. Ridiculous sometimes.

My Oscar likes to get in the way any time I try to take a picturee of the other fish. I swear he intentionally tries to get in the picture!

My Green Terror likes to come "check the camera out" right as I'm about to get a decent shot of someone else! [smilie=mf_tongue.gif] drives me nuts!

All been said are rite. I make my fishes take me, camera, and food as one related symbol. They'll come out when they see the camera, coz they think food will come. [smilie=fish2.gif]

Benny said it best.
Patience.
I usually Leave the camera on the Tripod in front of the tank for about
10 minutes before i start to shoot.
With my firemouths, I sit there wit the camera in hand for about 10 minutes
Motionless

Somethings i have learned here, is that you have to sit, make the fish confortable with your presence and the presence of the camera, and then start shooting away, that's where patience comes in, What model of Sony do you have?

post some pics for critique, that way the guys here can give you really positive feedback.
