Hi guys!

Thought I'll post something here for critique..

My corydoras seem to be having some kind of worm infestation on their fins and I managed to get some pictures.

LOL, benny, I would love to see someone critique this insane shot. :)

The detail is amazing. Naked eye can never see that. Looks very good. Maybe just take out the two round spots on the black. One above your name and one top middle .

Yo benny, what lens and accessories you used for this shot. Maybe you can darken the background to bring out the worm more.

Ok guys. Self critique time...

I don't like the picture. It's weak.

In terms of the subject, worms not terribly impressive. Their size and inherent lack of details makes them mediocre. The only way to make the subject stand out is to go closer for a more unique perspective. At this point, I don't have any opportunity to play with microscopes yet.

There is obviously a lack of color in the picture. It's very high contrast, given the whitish color of the fins and the worms against the black background. On hindsight, perhaps a green background may have worked better. The saving grace is that the details were not burnt out by hotspots. The high contrast need not work against the picture, but given the original crop and composition, it's really not doing too well.

The picture seems divided into two parts at the centre and viewers' attention are drawn towards the edge on the lower left side. In my opinion, this really discounted the picture.

Whilst nothing much can be done with the picture already taken (and the fish dead). Perhaps an alternative presentation can salvage the picture.
