Greetings,
I would like to suggest a Category under software for Photoshop Enements 3.0. I am making the switch rather than upgrade from PS 7 to CS. If I may quote the much respected Charles Moore from applelinks.com:
"However, nothing really matches Photoshop Elements’ power and versatility when it comes to serious image editing, except of course its larger and much more expensive professional stablemate, Photoshop CS. For the vast majority of digital photographers however, even Photoshop Elements has vastly more power and features that they will likely ever use, and Photoshop CS would be extreme overkill."
He ends his review with the following:
"Having used Photoshop Elements for a week now, I can say that the affection I never had for Photoshop Elements 2.0 is rapidly developing for Photoshop Elements 3.0. Indeed, I’ve spent hours going through my digital image folders trying out and applying some of the new tools and features in Version 3.0, which is faster, user-friendlier, slicker, and the new features make it so much nicer to use that they are definitely worth the upgrade.
At an estimated street price of $99, Photoshop Elements 3.0 is mid-priced commercial software, but in this case the value is there, and then some. When you consider that you’re getting most of the functionality found in Photoshop CS, and probably all of it that most of us would ever use, Elements 3.0 is a genuine bargain."
The full review of the software may be found at http://www.applelinks.com/pm/more.php?id=3135_0_1_0_M42
Seeing as how PS is the only software currently listed at the Forum, I think this would be a welcome addition. Just a thought. - Frank/Guppyman®
