Hi. While perusing the personal classifiends I noticed that some of them are up to 7 months old. I would just have to think that if the item hasn't been sold by now - it ain't selling. I know that one of the primary purposes of the board is to provide relevant "timely" information to its users. I think it would make sense to have these classifieds "auto prune" after 30 or maybe 60 days. When I run a free ad in my local paper they drop it after 2 issues and require me to re-submit the ad. This makes sense and isn't really a hassle. Again - just a thought. I hope that posts for "suggestions" are received in the spirit with which they are offered. - Frank/Guppyman®

Hey Frank. Dont worry about it. If we did not want suggestions, we would not have the folder :) They are received EXACTLY as they should be. That is actually a Really good idea that I will implement ASAP. The board is relatively new so I have been reluctant to remove threads as its' all good info, but the Classifieds section is definitely an Up to Date type of area, so it really should be 30 days only. While I think that having too much old and useless stuff sitting around is counterproductive, our classifieds volume is very small. I know I received an email about the flash that I was selling long after it was sold. That tells me that people still go back and look through For Sale topics.

We should put a small policy in place (as sticky) and ask people to inform us when X item is sold.

Good idea Jay. We can also do the same thing by making the forum show only 30 days instead of the standard.
