Well, I think she has made me appreciate lizards/dragons more. I might get some when I have more room [smilie=biggrin.gif]

Very cool critters. I take it you are also a fan of Anne McCaffrey

Thanks guys. Beardies are great Herps to keep. I've heard them being referred to as the dogs of the Herp world because they can be such good companions. They reach about 18" to 24" including tail, and are very tame if handled enough. Mnementh, my favorite male, loves to ride around on my shoulder while I do housework and whatnot. They're very easy to keep if you have experience with Herps. They're omnivores and need a sand substrate, high basking temp around 115 degrees, and 8.0 UVA/UVB lighting.

Oh, and yes, I'm an Anne McCaffrey fan... [smilie=laugh.gif]

Thanks for the extra info. At two feet long, what do you keep them in? I love the pic in your signature!

Two adults can be kept in a 48" x 24" enclosure. I have one built out of 2 x 4's and the other is a rubbermaid container (don't laugh, a lot of breeders use them). You never want to keep a male and female together unless you're breeding, and two males will usually fight. The only good combo is two females.
