I was curious to What you guys think of my Cloning?
I cloned the lower half, and then with levels darkened the Background a little.

I would say that's a relatively good job. Having a completely black background, I would give a bit more space on the right side of the picture. Seems a little too tight near the tail.

When I get home, I will try your Idea Benny.
By adding some to the Canvas, to give it a little bit room on the tail,
So it doesnt seem to tight.
Just hope the colors match

looks good Mikal. Just clone the right side of the picture to the added canvas if it doesnt match close enough.
I think the pic looks better though. Nice work.

Here is my "quick" attempt, I also darkened the top of his head to take out the overexposed part:

Now it's a real beauty! All the details on the fish is visible with no distractions.
Actually, if you are not in the "NO photoshop" camp, you can consider lightening up the bottom to match up the top half of the body. This will really improve the total presentation of the subject. Now, I'll rate it 9 out of 10. With the color balanced up, it'll be a perfect 10.

That fish gets uglier each time I look at it bro, but the clone job looks perfect. Ed's interpretation makes it even better, great shot
mikal i can see a vertical line on the right side of the photo (last photo posted) perhaps you cannot see it because of your contrast or something. it's between the original and the added black space.
