The Photo Marketing Association Annual Show will be held this year at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando between the February 20th and 23rd. PMA is the photography industry's most important annual event, it's the place where the new year's hottest digital photography products are announced.

PMA 2005 trend 'predictions':

x New differentiation points - Large LCD's, Image Stabilization
x The beginnings of a move away from increasing megapixels (although still more to come)
x Widening of product offerings, more cameras with medium to large zoom (6x - 12x)
x Mostly five and seven megapixel CCD's
x MPEG-4 video still won't arrive fully, we'll see it in some models but not enough
x More cameras with built-in flash storage (and no supplied storage card)
x Beginnings of wireless connectivity provision but still limited
x Lots of digital SLR's this year, although perhaps not all announced at PMA

Jay-Pardon my ignorance. Is the D200 the next version of Nikon's D100? If so, do you have any propaganda on updated features? :-P I have noticed that the price of a D100 is pretty much the same as the D70 when you factor in current rebates (+$100 at B&H).

given canon's running time with dslrs, i'd be expecting a replacement to the rebel.

18months is generally current market time for their cameras.

RA,
There are soo many rumors that I don't even bother with them. I don't have much information. Patience is a mother of success.

I had a choice: D100 vs. D70. Personally I picked D70.
