IMPORTANT: PLease read: Changes to the Gallery

Hey Everyone,

Our gallery has been updated. It has many new features, the most important one being Automatic Category creation. From now on, please upload any new photos to the "Members Cagegories" and they will AUTOMATICALLY be inserted in a sub-category under your name.

Any "Contributor" users who wish to use their allowed EXTRA subcategories, can create them UNDER their "name" category.

I have moved all previously uploaded photographs to the appropriate categories.

hir0, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Guys, please let me know if it got fixed. I can now upload safely.

Just make sure you are uploading to the Members Categories. It will put images in the right place then.

Hi Paradise,

I was wondering if there was quicker way to get to one's personal gallery? Right now I click on "Gallery" then click on "Member's Categories" then I go to the page that my gallery is listed on and click on that...

Is there a "My Gallery" button hidden in the User CP section?

Hey RA

1. In any thread, if you click on your name, it brings up a menu that has many things, one of them is "Visit [username]'s Gallery". This way you can see yours or any other member's.

2. Next version of the software will have a "My Gallery" link under "My Stuff" in the Gallery menu. I will update here when it's installed.

1. Is there a way that I can set a password concerning my folder(s)? I maybe wrong, but it looks as if people other than myself can upload pictures to my gallery.

2. How do I set up a sub folder under my main folder? I believe that I can have multiple folders due to me being a 'contributor'..

Hey Ed, I just set-up 4 new subcategories under my members gallery. What is the easiest way to move the pix into the subs?

1. You can not password that folder, but if everyone follows the rules, the images are uploaded to each member's individual gallery. That folder (your name) is created by the software automatically when you upload your first image to the "members gallery". Nobody should be posting in your folders. When you create subfolders (below) you can set settings to allow others to view, download, .... files in that folder. If you want to protect your files, put them ALL into subfolders under your main folder.

2. To create Sub folders (yes, as a Platinum contributor you get UNLIMITED Subfolders) all you have to do is:
- In the gallery, choose "My Stuff"
-Click on Add Category
-fill out the info, making Members categories your destination, you can also here make a password, and allow others to view, reply and rate images in that category.

The new category will be created as a sub-category of your "name" category.

Hope that helps. I will see about adding that to the Gallery Tutorial in the Articles section. You know it's there, right?

Yes, I will be adding the stuff I told you about later today, creating sub folders.... some other stuff. I have been using it since beginning so it all seems obvious to me, so it's hard to know what people will ask. Thanks for your input.
