Those are nice looking fish. I still can't get that good a pic of mine.

I never stop getting amazed how crisp your pictures come out..
The 1. one is perfect, spread fins, in focus and good contrasts!
The 2. one is also a very good picture, eye and head in focus and the rest i blurry, but it looks like there's a pump in the background..
I'm having a hard time to get such blurry backgrounds, even if the blender is as high as 2,8..

have you tried using a longer focal length? that should do the trick.

I love the first picture. If ANYTHING, I think it's a bit on the "sharp" side. But I love the composition, the background, even the one plant in foreground adds contrast to the fish really well.

Alex: You're right about the pump. It's the Eheim internal filter in the background;) As I can recall I used f/2.0 on the second pic. It's a bit dark in that corner of the tank.
BTW: I think this couple are going to spawn in the near future. They are digging holes in the gravel all around the tank.
