These shots were taken By Yorkie, Using a Canon G5 with some sort of External Flash. He was wondering if ANYONE can give him some tips/pointers.

That last shot is very nice. Great DOF. Overall they are ok, a bit dark and flat, but not bad.

i agree that they're dark. but i think it suits this fish well. helps create a scary setting. excellent images.

Thanks guys.
Hopefully this should be a pic of the complete tank. The rhom is lurking in the shadow.

Looking at the first set of photos, I think the best advice I can give is 'don't put your fingers in the tank'

Seriously they are classy photos. I particularly like the first and second where there is a little more light on the plants in the background because the fish stands out better.
And that tank :-o beautiful! The rockwork looks so real that I can hardly believe it isn't fake (which is the sort of contrary thing that Yorkshire people say).

Very nice looking tank you have there. Looks like he's eying those baby clown loaches =P.

Yorke,

Personally I don't see too many things wrong with the pictures. They are spectacular and show exactly what this fish and habitat is all about.

I love your tank !

Thanks for the comments guys,
Only been getting interested in takin pics since the end of September, and havent read a great deal on the subject. Most of my learning has been from sitting in front of the tank with a beer and experimenting with the camera settings. None of the pics have been photoshoped and are as the camera took them (except for a little resizing).
Thanks to Gordeez and elTwitcho for some good advice along the way.
Thanks for the comments on the pics and setup guys, much apreciated

And its good to see someone who understands the Yorkshire language- alanhill
