This is the mother of the young pulcher female you may have seen on some recent pics.
That means that this is an old shot.

I kinda like it though, 'cause it's from when i first got the camera.. Any tips of how to get the "hotspots" on the plants to go away?

Dirty glass and water.

Do you have Photoshop? If so I can explain it step by step.
Actually it's quite a useful technique for cleaning up photos taken with on-camera flash - I think I will send a separate post to the Photoshop section later today. Other image processing programs will have similar functions.

BTW - what a nice photo, a good close-up of a beautiful fish in a characteristic pose.
