I would like to see a tutorial for people new to the digital world. Something very basic for someone who knows nothing about digital .

Also a tutorial like getting the most out of your digital camera .

With all the photographic talent here it should be easy . I believe it would be a big help to a lot of people .

When I say basic I mean something like Eating --- Step #1. Open mouth , insert food ,chew well , now swallow.

Do you get the idea that I am nervous about my new 20D coming . I can't wait but am nervous for 3/08/05 to come .

Just don't forget your going to be shooting digital. if you got action in focus, take the shot. delete the bad ones later.
don't worry you'll be fine. just learn the histogram if you're unfamiliar with it. and read up on white balance. it's still photography, even though it's digital. the same basics apply.
*aperture
*shutter
*iso
don't bother yourself with the auto-program modes (portrait, action, landscape etc..) it's defeats the point of using such a versatile peice of equipment.
work with manual (with help from the lightmeter) or the shutter or aperture priority modes. you'll learn your camera that much quicker. the learning curve isn't as steep as you think, if you have previous xp using an slr. just read the manual and figure out all the controls. any specifics on the camera, don't be afraid to ask - there are some 20d users here.

hirO ,

Your the man . ( just learn the histogram if you're unfamiliar with it ) what is it . I know the book should help me but anything I can learn ahead of time makes me feel a lot better . I guess its all the features I've looked at and the little billboard on back that makes me almost afraid to touch it . But believe me when I get it I will dive in with both feet .
