Hi guys,

Here's one I got off the shop, tightly cropped from a portrait format.

Rip it up guys!

Nice piranha, maculatus?

For my tastes, it's a bit tighter than I like. The eye makes a good focal point, but the rest of the picture feels like it's missing something. Maybe bringing in more of the gill plate or going wider to bring in more of the shape of the head would give the shot more to look at.

I could be in left field on this mind you, I do alot of piranha shooting and have definately developed my own biases towards photographing them, but for me it just feels like there's something missing. Still a nice shot, but it doesn't have the same striking effect your shots usually do.

I like it :-)

It is tight; but I like the emphasis on the eye and the jaw simultaneously and both are absolutely in focus. The only flaw is the blue colour reflection on the lower jaw.

Also like it.
For me it's a perfect crop. I don't need to see anything else, will only distract me from the focal point.
First thing I notice is the eye. Warm good reddish color v.s the cold grey of the rest of the body.

One more who likes it.
Great details. Hypnotizing eye.
