Hi

Recently upgraded from 300D to 20D. Loaded in the supplied CD 'EOS Solutions Disc v9.1' on top of the software already in for the 300d. Also loaded in the supplied Digital Photo Professional v 1.5' .

When I connect camera, computer identified it as 20D and a list came up with software for opening pictures. Now I can load in JPEGs through Microsoft Camera Wizard but can't seem to work out how to get the raw images across. Zoom Browser Ex comes up as an option in the list (software that came with 300D) but when click on this to start download it says 'camera is busy...is LCD screen-on'

I can see the Raw files on the camera in EOS Viewer utility but not given any options for transferring.

I have tried taking all the 300D software off and just loading the discs that came with the 20d...but none the wiser...

Any one got any clues...?

cheers

Rich

LOL, that is a second thread on that today. Ron's had some questions about it also.

See, I do it differently. I put the card into my reader, and it shows up in My computer as a drive. I open Photoshop CS and just use that drive as a place to get files from, directly through PS. Open file.... and they are in the folder. It shows previews as you click on them, and you just open the ones you want and process them in PS. Simple. You do need the RAW 2.4 upgrade from Adobe to see the "new" RAW files, they have a different extention. It's a free download from Adobe, I think.

Ok this may have just been me missing the obvious, not helped by my 20D arriving with all manuals and instructions in French...lol

I can view the raw pictures in the EOS file viewer utility. I can then DRAG them from here to a folder (I was looking for a copy and paste function...doh). Once in the folder they can be opened up and manipulated as raw in the Canon Digital Photo Professional v1.5. It would have been nice if the Canon software had realt time sharpness adjustment built in rather than as a 'blind' save function.

Cheers
