I'm really in to getting a digital rebel.

We have an old EOS 300, that's rearly been used. Was my mothers, and now it's mine. In the easter hollidays I'm going to have some fun with it.
But I'm one of those who want my pictures digitaly.

My question is, will the lense from this camera fit a 20D, 350D or a 300D ?

It's probably a crappy lense, but if/when I get a digital rebel I do need something else than a macro lense.

Thanks,
Alex

All Canon EOS cameras will take Canon lenses with EF mount. So all you auto focus Canon lenses will fit on all the Canon Digital SLR camera bodies.

Glad to hear that :)
Then the camera will cost me about at least 100$ less I guess.

What's a good deal for a 20D or a 350D, only the camera house?

US$
UK£
or Norwegian kr.

One more thing.
Is there a big difference in quality, 20D vs 350D. Because the 350D is alot cheaper.
Is the extra money worth the 20D?

From what I've read the amazing thing about 20D is the high ISO level and still no noise. And I've also read the 350D has this quality aswell.

Only difference I can see is the 7 point auto focus vs. 9 points.

And 0,3 more MP.

More questions :)

Searching around on eBay for the 350D.
There's quite a few cheap ones there.

Anyone got experience from shopping from eBay?

Here's a camera that's just about free, the price is bound to go up the next couple of days!
But if it does not, is the seller going to sell and ship for this price?

This is less than I paid for my Kodak :|

Dumb question that requires a smart answer -

I priced one for Ron (Schnauzer) awhile back and we came in at around $1,300 range. Just priced the XT at the same vendor and came up with $900. Both of these are in U.S. currencies and if you're interested in the kit lens (18-55), then add an extra $60 on top of that.

Slightly more difference than that. Here's the difference:

ISO: 20D has a 3200 settings; there's a hack for the 300D for this setting, not sure about XT
AF: 9 point for 20D; 7 for XT
White balance: 20D has Kelvin adjustability; XT doesn't
Shutter speed: 20D is capable of 1/8000; XT is capable of 1/4000
External flash: 20D has synching abilites; XT has E-TTL II
Burst: 20D is capable of 5 fps up to 23 jpegs; XT capable of 2.8 fps, 14 jpegs or 4 RAW
Remote: 20D has a N3 connector; XT has E3 connector and InfraRed
Battery: 20D uses 1390mAh Li-Ion; XT uses 720mAh Li-Ion
Weight: 20D is heavier coming in @ 770 g versus XT's 540 g
Dimensions: 20D is larger

I've picked up some stuff on eBay before. Just make sure you know what you're looking for or at, otherwise you'll stand a chance of getting burned.

As for that vendor, I've done business with them in the past. They're located in Canada, and my previous backpack is from them (mini trekker). I actually just ordered another backpack from them this last week. From both these transactions, I've been very happy with the results in regards to price, communication, and the shipping. It's at a steal right now for that price, but it's still very early in the bidding. By the time that it's done, it'll be at least double that. If it doesn't, heck I might jump into the fray for my bro (he's been looking at DSLRs for awhile now, and he prefers Canon optics).
