Er Jay,

The D70s was a plural form of for the D70.

Nikon claims to have sold about 1 million D70s globally between March 2003 and this February, and this figure accounts for about 40 percent of the worldwide digital SLR market during that period, the company said.

Nikon has not confirmed the D70s.

Nikon has not confirmed the existence of another new digital SLR called the D70s, but a PDF copy of a user manual for this camera is also apparently loose on the Internet. It, too, appears genuine. It was, for a time, available on a fan web site for the Asian pop singer Buachompoo Ford, but it has now been removed or the file has been renamed.

But it will be exciting to see what's coming... Hopefully we don't have to wait too long.

Cheers,

Ooops. D70s is indeed not official yet but you are more then welcome to look at the manual of D70s. I have it saved locally on my computer. It was intercepted the same way as D50.

here's (http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=toc&state=fbd5bg.1.1&p_search=searchss&p_L=50&BackReference=&p_plural=yes&p_s_PARA1=&p_tagrepl%7E%3A=PARA1%24LD&expr=PARA1+AND+PARA2&p_s_PARA2=nikon+corporation&p_tagrepl%7E%3A=PARA2%24ALL&p_op_ALL=AND&a_default=search&a_search=Submit+Query&a_search=Submit+Query) a good place to look for new nikon things. the d70s isn't listed, but neither is the d2hs so i'm guessing there's no legal requirement to get a trademark for the "s" :)

If there is a manual for D50 (*which was announced) and D70s, then why wouldn't there be one ?
