black lines?

How to remove the lines? I tried moire, I tried JPEG Artifact Removal. Used Jasc Paint Shop Pro & Neat Image. Short of using paintbrush, is there a way to smooth this out?

Could this be a problem with my camera? Canon Power Shot G2. Some, but not all pix taken in this tank (black background) have the horizontal bars.

May you post more original photos of this type. If you know the EXIF data of the shot, that would be helpful. I suspect it has a high ISO with the high contrast which leads to the horizontal noise.

Hey benny, turn your CRT brighter, you'll see those lines. I found same phenomena on Kodak DCs of my office even using ISO100.

OK. Saw it. I think my monitor is a bit dark. What causes those anyway?
