Just got my new monitor (NEC 19") :) and tried a redo of a recent photo. What do you think, quality and presentation wise.

The first one get's to yellow, so I like the old version the best.
But the other two is much better, great work Ed :)
nice job with the pp Ed. very effective background work.

Ed,
Not sure what you did but I only like the edited version of the wolf. Other two are either off color, not sharp enough or lacking shadows.

Which is the truer color on the first one? The new pics on the last two have much better bokeh (at last I understand what that word means! :-D ). Congrats on the new monitor!

Interesting edits.
The 1st one ... um, not sure what's the actual colour, so I can't say. But on the Edited version, the yellow on the beak is a bit too strong. But an interesting portrayal of PS editing. :)
#2 - I like the new one! Definitely better than the old one.
#3 - The new one looks more natural, but the colour looks off.
Oh ... and does "bokeh" = lens? :S

Agree with you guys on the first one. I think I was trying to fix the blue tint on the original and doing it from scratch, did not go the right way. So this time I fixed the original. What do you think?

Much better, but still a tad to much yellow.

Much, much better! Is that his true color?

Yeah, it's as close as I see it really is. The original one was too blue. The 2nd one was too yellow uniformly. This one has better contrast, and is not oversaturated.
i don't know what the bird is supposed to look like, but you could use the lasso tool - and ONLY change the beaks color if you wanted to.
Also, what does it look like if you were to combine both of them (first being too blue and second being too yellow)?
