View Full Version : Nikon D50 and D70s released!

They're out there on the market.
From what I've seen the D70s is not a huge upgrade, pretty small one actually. And downtown I can get a superb deal on the D70, so I'm probably going to go for this one. (cheaper than 350D and almost as cheap as the 300D)

D50 didn't impress me that much, but I'm not sure of the price yet, so we'll see :)

wow cool stuff. the d70s wasn't really supposed to be an upgrade, more of an update. i'm really excited now, i can't wait to see what the firmware update has to offer.

yah i know, but seeing it on paper and in the field are two different things for me.

Ooh, yes. i see it now.
They are finaly released!

First D70s improvements i noticed was.

USB 2.0 (Full speed) (D70 har 2.0)
LCD screen is bigger. 2" vs. 1.8" om the D70
Reduced shutter fro m1/8000 to 1/4000
Increase in weigth from 595g to 600g

Other that that they are pretty similar to eachother.

D70s is more expencive that D70 has been until now.
D50 is the same price as D70 now.
