man, Hiro, I saw this one at a shop and fell in love. My 110g planted project that I was talking about earlier is definitely going to be about 50 of these :) Maybe a trio of Altums and the rest are going to be these. I am in love with this fish. I found a place that has them, for about $6.99 each if I get a bunch, or $7.99 regularly. They are just so majestic. There is another race of them that dont have the scizzor tail but have purple on the body, that look pretty good also.
it sucks, because the ones they DO have are in show tanks not for sale :-( the rummy nose tetras are awesome looking also in a planted tank. check those out. and some of the Apistogrammas. you HAVE to have a keyhole cichlid :)
The first picture is a good one!
Cheers,
Yup, that first one is a good shot. Could use a bit more subdued lighting in the middle, but the rest of the fish looks great. The angle of the second one doesn't work for me.

Those are indeed some beautiful Tetras. And you've got some crisp good shots there.
I love the contrasts and colours on the first one. The only flaw I see is a little dot of algae over the backfinn! :)
Btw, I like that script.. hinthint.

I knew I got a bargain when I bought 5 wild Rainbow Emperors Nematobrycon lacortei for £1.50 each (a little over $2) - and they are better coloured IMHO. This looks like a fine mature fish. The difficulty is showing the sheen on the body without overexposing - it depends very much on the angle of the lighting relative to the fish's body - these photos are very good from that point of view. I like the first pose better, but I'd prefer a darker backgound (or a planted one).
