Noticed that there is a point system. Just wondering what are they meant for and how it works?

The point system most likely has something to do with how many times you have posted on the forum????

If you have noticed, some members have higher post count but lower points and some have lower post count but higher points. Wonder how are they being calculated? :?

Could it be because of the different post. Say when you post a pic you get higher points?
no, actually, it's 1 point for each post, and 2 for each topic started.
Now, re: how they will be used, there are a lot of possible uses, and I will get to it eventually. I just wanted to make sure the system started keeping track. The reason also some have more than others, is that any time you can donate points to anyone. I usually will donate a few points to someone whose pics I am blown away by, or who gave me REALLY good advice. For your points to be counted for whatever we'll do in the future there will be a donation requirement, a certain Percentage.

Well in this case I believe that I have some points to distribute... A small token to thank a few folks who always seem to have a tip, or helpful suggestions, while I try to learn how to take pictures.
I don't know what would be a customary donation, but I have just donated 10 points (each) to:

I really wanted that installed for future use. But the store IS open, you can use the points to buy custom ranks and titles, colors and other stuff, there will be more in the future.
