A while ago someone posted the code to put in a universal remote control that would control the D70. Can anyone tell me that code? I can't find it anymore.

I'm pretty sure it's the generic JVC TV code (066 on most remotes) and the trigger is the volume down button. If you've got a palm around, you can give this a try as well: http://www.natemc.com/nikontrigger.php. I've used it' it's not too bad. I just end up going back to the ML-L3 as it's easier to pack the little bugger away in the camera bag - and it wasn't all that expensive.

Just found this for you...

Thanks, I'll try it. I have the ml, but I want to amaze my fellow students by controlling the thing with my tv remote :-)

apparently the code is depending on the remote control type :'( I tried a zillion ones, but without luck.

are you sure you're using the right button to release the shutter?

I did just a quick google search on it, and from what I can tell, it only works with RCA remotes. I could be wrong though. I have an old One For All universal remote and it didn't work.
