Hiro is on a roll!! Congratulations on an amazing photo that beat my 2nd place photo by a pretty decent margine. I have to say, this was our BEST POTM yet to date. Lots of photos competed very well. I really liked Jay's and Andreas' photos plus many others.

Now, let's discuss what we liked this month, let's make it more than just congratulating the winners. :)

Definetly my pick in this competition. Got my 10.
There's not much negative to say about it, but on my monitor the finnage is a little gone.
Otherwise it's awesome! Congratulations on a well deserved win hir0!

Congratulations Hiro, excellent shot. My only minor comment would be that you only just pulled through with the fins against the black background. Excellent exposure and detail though.
Overall an excellent set of photographs in this months contest. Another cool Betta shot from Ed, great display of fins.
Another notable shot to me was the blue-green chromis, a great composition...
Cheers
Rich

Congrats hir0. Yours and two others had me boggled on what score to give. Overall I think your shot whas right on the money, as close to perfection as we can get.
I likked the school of fish for its interest and quality. I also liked the betta shot a lot.
Overall it was a really competitive contest, with excellent entries by all.
Congrats, Hir0. This one was my pick as well. Very sharp and great clarity in the picture and I gave it a high rating among the bunch.
Great fin details in the betta. Couldn't give it as high a score due to the crop, hot spots and shadows. Gave the betta and the guppy the same rating.
The green chromis was indeed interesting but lacked sharpness.

Well done hir0 - excellent photo.
Well done to all the others too, it was very hard to work out the places. I liked the Chromis - which was as good a multiple portrait as I have seen for a long time. Also the red thing photographed sub-aqua was an excellent piece of work (even if I can't remember its name) - it must be much harder to take a good photo of a wild fish than of one in a tank (and we all know that's hard enough).

Congrats hir0!
You did it again :-)
I think itīs all said about the puffer - technically near to perfect, if you donīt want to include the surrounding.
It got my best vote (9/10) here. I have to agree that this was a good and interesting contest.
Regarding that underwater photography is not "that easy" as aquatic photography - i wished that the leaf fish would have scored higher.
[EDIT: Alan, funny that we wrote the same about the leaf fish - i wrote my answer about two hours ago, but didnīt send the message until now - i had to take both daughters to bed ;-) ]

Small sidenote on the Chromis photo - this is perhaps not a typical potm-entry, because i was aware of the technical deficiencies. But i found it an interesting shot: you can see the "true colours" of the blue green chromis (whatever true color means). I am convinced, that it is impossible to show the blue of these chromis while using flash! We had a small discussion about this topic on my own board (here (http://forum.aquarienfotografie.net/viewtopic.php?t=604) and here (http://forum.aquarienfotografie.net/viewtopic.php?t=607), just in case you want to compare the colours).

I cant understand what you were saying on your board Andreas but i did enjoy the chromis shot. Also it was good to see an underwater (scuba) photograph.
Congrats hiro - that shot looked great with the simple black BG
