Lenses

Hello all...

I emailed Kodak a few days ago to find out if they have add-on lenses for the DX6490 like the lenses they have for the rest of their cameras. Well I just got a response back today saying they will have new lenses available for the DX6490 in spring of this year. They didnt mention what kind of lenses but hopefully a macro lense will be one of them. The I will be able to hopefully take some really nice close-ups...

ok, help me out here...

I just checked Kodaks site and they say a lens adapter for my camera will be available in April...

it says that this adapter allows you to add 55mm screw-on lenses or filters....

so now, please excuse my ignorance, but where can I find info on 55mm screw on lenses... and is this what I would want in order to use a close up lense on my camera?

55mm screw on lenses can be found at most photographic shops. eg: brand names like hoya etc.

Most of the time, these are refered to as filters. Now, you can also add special effects with spending a long time in Photoshop. e.g. Star cross, diffused spot, graduated Neutral Density etc.
