Aloha Everyone
I currently have a Nikon D100 and I am thinking about buying a D70 as a second body. My question is will my D100 lenses be compatible with the D70? I figure this way my wife can use one camera while I use the other. This is my way of getting her involved in photography and justifying a second camera body.
Thanks,
Rick
yes, this is nikon we're talking about :)

but at least canon have two mounts, not 5 or 6 :p
*ducks and runs for cover*
LOL, Lisa.
You can mount just about any Nikon lens on either body, although with the older ones, you won't be able to autofocus or meter with them.

From what I recall when investigating buying my D70. Just about every lens is compatible. You may lose af on some of the older lenses. But if the lens has cpu, it shoud handle most of the functions. I know the couple old lenses I had from my N6006 35mm work on my D70.

Thanks everyone for the info. Now I have to convince the wife into letting me get the D70. :-D
"Honey aren't you getting bored just sitting there and watching me photograph?" How's that?
"Guess what I'm getting for your Christmas present" Is that one better?
"A couple that photographs together stays together" Maybe this one?
lol. i think it should be more like this:
honey - i've got good news and bad news....
the bad news is someone robbed me and stole $1000.
the good news, is that i found this d70 lying on the side of the road.

That's a good one Hiro, I'll try that one later this week. If that one doesn't work do you have a spare room at your house?
