APF Gathering in NYC Sept. 3rd (Central Park)

I am coming to NYC for the first week of September (wedding) so Jay and I thought we'd do something cool. We are going to meet up at Central Park (in front of the Art Museum) on Saturday Sept.3rd, time to be announced very soon, when Jay is back from Poland :), to shoot some pics, and just get together and have fun.

We are inviting all APF members to join us in the First (hopefully not last, as we have plans for UK in the next few days, right Rich?) APF Meet. Please use this thread for any ideas or to RSVP yourself :) It's not formal, we are just getting together to put faces to the names and have fun.

I was just looking at my schedule and I have to make a trip to our office in Branford, CT in the next few weeks. I may be able to do it on that Friday and stop in the City on my way back to Maryland. Not a definite, but a good posibility I can hook up with you guys at the park on Saturday.

It would be nice to meet the head honchos here and watch the pros at work. B-)

Ok guys. It is time to finalize attendance. I would love to see more of APF members. Those who live in NYC / NJ have no excuses :) It is so close and weather will be perfect this weekend !!!!

Bobby / Ron .... Are you guys coming ? It is only few hours for you guys !

I'm by no means a typical New Yorker but I will think of something interesting to do. We can do some shooting in Central Park which that alone is A LOT of fun, especially on the weekend. There are some amazing bridges with a lot of greenery around. There is a small Zoo in Central Park. For those who interested in Metropolitan Museum of Art, we can do that as well - for free !. If we decide to go to Bronx Zoo (I think the biggest Zoo in US) we would have to organize an early outing ~9am.

I know that one would get better attendance when there are times and places set but with NYC, options are endless so I will wait with that until Saturday.

Come on guys ..... I want to see more people then just Ed !!!!

In all honesy I really - really wanted to come . But I will not be able to make it . My wifes 13 day vacation ends today . She has 7 days more the last of Sept . I don't want to drive 9 or 10 hours by my self each way . I haven't flown since 9-11 . The pilot on one of the planes was a friend of mine that I had talked to about the plans for his big garden the day before . I havent been able to force myself on a plane since .
I love Germany but turned down a trip ( I thought I might look up Andreas and try some of his wine ) a few weeks ago because I couldn't bring my self to get on the plane . I used to fly a lot .
If we could do this again next year and know in advance far enough for my wife to put in for vacation time I will be their for sure .
My wife and I talked about the APF get to gather last night and how bad I wanted to go and meet everyone . I really wanted to do this .

Sorry guys, I have to skip this oppurtunity too. The company I represent scheduled a meeting at the end of September (I was going to visit the office this week, now I can wait till then), so the wife's original plans of going to her nephew's wedding is now on.
