Cheap flash set up

i everyone i was wondering wat my options are for a cheap slave flsash setup until i can afford the 580EX, 550EX slave combo (probally a couple of months).

You could use the onboard flash for now. Experiement with a couple options.

1. Diffuse the flash by taping white paper or tissue over the flash.

2. Redirect the flash to the top of your tank. Placee aluminum foil over the top of the tank. Tape white index card paper to the camera in front of the flash to pericscope the light up. The flash will bounce off the foil down into the tank.

Or just add a lot of extra light above the tank.

i'll give both a go when i pick it up on the weekend, currently however neither of the to options seem to work with my fuji but it must just be the flash on it?
