After using my Sony Powershot DSC-T1 for a couple months, I really think I need a better camera. I love Canon brands so I took at look at the Canon Powershot S1 IS, what do you think about the camera?

What other Canon camera do you suggest thats in the $200 to $400 range?

For the upper end of the price range, I'd spend a bit more time and pick up a used Canon 300D.

I agree, going from one P/S to another is a very small step specially for aquatic photography. Save up and use this one until you can get something like 300d or 350d (better).
