guess this may have been asked before, but here goes.... on the 350d, does changing the sharpness parameter value to -1 or -2 actually soften the image, or does it just 'turn-off' in-camera sharpening? - I hear its best to disable this and sharpen using PS or something....
actually, it would be better to shoot in RAW and then sharpen later in post processing.

didn't think of that! - I do shoot in raw actually so I guess all of those paramaters are turned off anyway! (duh!) - Its wierd though cause I am sure you can still adjust them......
You can still adjust them, but they don't take affect when you're shooting RAWs. Once you switch over to JPEG, they'll kick in.
