Damn, that is good. Awesome, Eric. I have never seen a better price.

PS: Update on the past deal, the 580ex flash. Finally got it today. They dicked me around for a month, asking me to cancel, or it will ship later and later, then finally after I said no to canceling twice, they shipped it. $325, man, what a deal for the 580ex.

tis certainly a good price.. i'm waiting for the next round of vendor pricing.. the 1Dmk2 was $500 less than retail... hoping it will be less so i can get it for even more of a deal... as was the 580 EX.. was something like $300 or something...

pity I gotta jump through hoops to get it at that price...

Yeah...must be nice to get it at vendor prices.

BTW, Ed, I saw a neat battery pack that's by Canon this last Saturday. Put out by Canon and uses 6-8 (forgot how many) batteries that's really small. Nice flat package that you can hook the 580EX into. Recycling time was amazingly fast (basically instantaneous). Priced at approximately $100, which isn't bad either.

yeah, but they only take checks.. so i have to have the money (which sucks).

that and there is so much limit - one camera body, three or four accessories within a year period, must have district manager approval, has to be delivered to the store...

kinda like our own staff purchases, want it special ordered, need the manager to order it, has to be delivered to the store, credit cards incur a 3% fee (so you do payroll deduction to get around it) etc etc...

they don't make it easy sometimes... I'll show you all one day what it involves... (which is why i don't do it)
