I have been lloking online at the prices offered at a local camera shop. I found a D70 plus two sigma lenses, a Sigma 28-80mm , and a Sigma 70-300mm plus case for 980.00 I know that everyone hates package lense but is it worth the price.

Looks like a good price if those are the lens you want. At B&H the D70 body is $749. The Sigma 70-300mm is $223 and the Sigma 28-80mm is $219. That's $1191. You are going to save over $200.
I didn't shop any of the packages. If you are looking for a package that handles general photography needs, I think you found it. If you think you are going to go for better glass down the road, your initial investment isn't going to hurt you too bad. You still are going to need something for shooting fish though. For another $105 you can get a Nikkor 50mm 1.8d for that purpose.
it depends. usually the bundled version of the sigma lens isn't the macro super II with the APO glass, it's the cheaper version - so don't get it twisted. that said, i would probably opt for the 18-70 kit lens depending on what the price is on it.
