Is their a difference in Canon USA and Canon imported in quality or anything important .

Ron, if it is like Nikon, the main difference is the additional four year warranty. One year for import and five for USA.
you might want to read up Ron. the difference is what area of the world it is intended to be sold in. i'm not sure about canon, but nikon USA would not even look at an imported (grey) nikon product for service even if you paid them.

US is $ 1,149.95
IM is $ 1,119.95
Easy decision IMO
