Any tips on how you took it. My orchid is about to bloom(hopefully this week or next) and i would like to take pics of the flower.

Whats the background? So anyhtign you can tell me should help as i have never tried taking pics of my orchids before.

Hi Degrassi, The background is a yard of fabric I got at the local fabric store draped over a piece of foam core board. The lighting is just window light. I used a tripod to make sure the pic was as sharp as possible. Black velvet also makes a great background. I'm looking forward to seeing pics of your orchid blooming!

Thanks for sharing. Great picture and really nice orchid. The green background is really interesting.

As for the last picture, reminds me of the helmet from last samurai.

Let's see more. Especially close ups!

Very very nice and clean shots. Looks like something from a published book. Who can critique those?
Specially the first one. Looks so natural and yet breathtaking. The second shot looks a bit more 'artificial" , probably not the right word for it but you get the point.

Great shots, can't even critique on these. Those orchids are really different with ours (Taiwan).
