I got my first client who wanted her pet photographed. It was a spur of the moment thing so I didnt get much time to think out the details. I took a few shots but wasnt sure if they were going to turn out. I really need your opinion on this image. The background was orange flowers in the upper corner and blown out wall behind him. It unfortunately, is my best 'focus'. Does this look ok, or does it look funny to you?

It's very nice, T. I would probably clone out the rope behind the head, though. I like the selective desaturation you did, very clean. Nice focus on the face. I am sure the client will be happy. Have you tried big size, does it print well?

i agree, it's not bad. as Ed said, that thing needs to be cloned out. one thing you need to pay attention to when doing portraits, is to not have objects protruding from their body, especially their heads.

I like this pic. As stated above, removing the rope in the background will help. Too bad, the right ear is clipped too. But I do not think it takes away from the pic. Cute Doggie! I think your client will be happy with the pic.
