My first blending job . As soon as I blend I have a halo where the sky and hill meet before it is sharpened . Any suggestions . This has been sharpened but it was exactly the same before sharpening . Oh and does the picture look better this way . Discounting the halo of course .

Hey Ron, I'm not the one to judge these type of images. But, it seems that there are some big problems here. The reflection looks nothing like the sky. A pond has been inserted with a straight lined bank, a bit confusing to me. Go back to the original.

LOL Bobby . Nothing has been inserted . Only thing changed is the color of the sky and I didn't get the color quite the same .
Here is the original

After looking closer to the original, I think I missed the pond... duh.

Sorry for the interpretation. I gotta stick to fish pix.

hi Ron, try using a larger gaussian blur. Do this, after it turns greyscale, click on a different layer and then click back on the greyscale layer mask. then when you do the gaussian blur you can see the changes happen when you adjust the blur levels.

Ron, might want to try "erasing" parts of one of the layers so that the blending is more natural. That would remove the banding that you're seeing.

Thanks hirO and Eric I'll work on it . Tell me . Is the sky better this way or do I need to do something better ?

Ron,

Sorry we were not able to finish this project the other day. Please email me both RAW files - jayluto @ hotmail dot com.

We should pick it up again and finish that lesson.
