I like it very much :) Reminds me of a false coloured IR photo. Very nice Carol.

The only thing I wasn't sure about is if I should try to make the b/w darker...

I think you should make the blacks in the b&w section match the blacks in the shadows on the grass, at the moment the image suffers from the loss of this common identity.
This is the Critique section, so I can add that I don't think that this image is suited to this treatment. It is too plain and ordinary to warrant the attention IMHO.

Agreed, the B&W contrast just seems off compared to the stark color. Nice shot though!
