Has anyone had any luck with doing manual focus photos with this camera? Or if anyone has any tips on making the camera focus a little faster with autofocus, hell, any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

Give me some time buddy. I am trying to find out more about this camera. Have actually played with it before but that was like only 5 mins.
My friends are using this camera, but they have better luck with pre focusing at a particular spot and wait for the fish to move in position. Besides, this method gives better exposure results.
