nice GTs, i also have some. How do you know males from females? I would like to distinguish mine, thx!!!

just compare the little ones. The male is taller and thinner, the fem is rounder and smaller. Then the giveaway usually are the fins, look at the males are sharp and long, and the fems are rounded and more full. It's weird but with cons and GTs some people never figure it out, and some (me included) just know for sure every time even though it's hard to explain. Same with texas, very easy for me, but hard for some people.

Your GT photo sure puts the one I have posted in the POTM to shame! WOW! Give me some pointers on taking photo's like that with my HP digicam!

The 2nd photo is the best. Great shots always, though the color of stripes on the gill plate is deviated a bit.

Hey Twylight
The best advice is to just browse through the forums, specially the Photography 101, and then talk to people that have been helped. MeganFitz can tell you that it DOES work what some of us will tell you. But you do need to have a camera that does certain things, like a Macro mode, and Manual settings for shutter speed, ISO, Macro, and others.
