hey everyone,

Since we (temporarily) dont have a buy / sell area, I am posting it here.

I recently (november 05) got a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG APO HSM Autofocus Lens (Canon) in perfect condition, Sharp copy, tested it out, used a total of 2-3 times maybe about 30-40 photos total. I find myself not using it at all, no time for that type of shots, plus I am in the process of setting up a 240 gallon tank that will cost me a fortune. So I thought before I put it on Fredmiranda and sell it in a day :) I will give someone here a great deal. The lens is in BRAND NEW Condition. comes with a tripod colar, a hood, and comes in a really nice case, completely padded and safe and attaches to your main bag. Here is the link to B&H Photo for that lens listed at $849. I just want to get my $675 back, and I will include shipping in continental US. The lens is a steal, it's every bit as good as the Canon 70-200 (non-IS) and is better built.

Well of course I should not :) But when the wife says I can have a 180 or 240g tank, IF I can finance it from my existing "toys" I am trying hard :)

I'd consider the money you make your "toy".
...problem solved.

Sell it and buy "true" 70-200 lens in the future - Canon 70-200 IS

Jay, I think that is something that I will think about. I AM very happy with the quality of the Sigma, no problems, I just find myself not using that range, because I find myself either shooting fish or people (portraits) mostly. I think it's a great lens, and I do think it's AS GOOD every bit as the non-IS Canon version.
