Last night we had a fun evening at my place with Hiro and family, Eric, and my family. Here are a few fun pics, eric and hiro have more for later :)

There was a lot of random picture taking with 3 cameras snapping for a while

Eric and his new best pal, my younger one, Ilana. They like to play with toys, both cameras and barbies :)

This was taken by Hiro, I dont know why he chose that as the subject (weird, heh? :) :) )

Sure looks fun man! Each of you shooting each other!

Hey Ed, What's with Ilana's wrist? Injured?

Cheers,

oh, yeah, forgot to tell you. Last sunday, fell of a couch, fractured in 3 places :( Weird, heh? She'll be fine, 6 week cast.

Eric and I just went to my friend's Reptile place. Some amazing shots later when he gets back home.

I wish I could have made it. :-( Can't do too much with a 3 month old though.

Keep those photos coming, friends :-)
Bad luck for your daughter, Ed, but she looks brave!
(sidenote: our flat never looks that tidy, even if we got visitors - you sure did a hell of a clean up job with your two girls ;-) )

Just curious: how many miles was that trip for Eric and Hiro?

At least i focused on Barbie and not Ken :)
Looks like you're having fun. There often are a lot of random snapping when three people with dSLRs meet.

Thanks everyone. We are having a BLAST!!!! Spent 3 days in the mountains doing a bunch of cool stuff, then today went to the Aquarium of the Pacific for the meet, met another APF'er, tomorrow - San Diego Zoo. Pics are coming. There is SO MUCH. I have already 2 gigs, and eric and hiro have a lot more than that. Eric is like Benny Jr., his bag is like Santa's bag, he just keeps pulling out more toys for hiro to play with. Those two are like kids :) I rented 100-400 today on the strength of Rich's shots, to tomorrow is the test.

No new pics till tomorrow or later. I have no time :)

am having a blast. Thanks Eric for letting me play with your toys (except that nasty tamron mount!)
Thanks Ed for letting us stay at your lakehouse. Your wife and daughters are so sweet. I've been having a blast
besides my stomach which is still turning no matter how many drugs I stuff down my throat. Going to take my son and
his cousin to Disneyland tomorrow and then back to Hawaii the next day for me. It's been quite a fullfilling trip. Just
sorry I couldn't spend more time with Eric and Ed. Seriously, I think the next meet should be in SG!

That was a blast. Thanks Ed, for opening up your home and the lakehouse. Lina's (hope I spelled that correct) patience, generosity, and cooking was just too good. Was great meeting up with both Hiro and Ed and being able to shoot with the both of them. I'll have to keep the Tamron away from Hiro's camera next time, haha.

Definitely a memorable experience that won't be forgotten.

I'm all for APF SG 2007!!!!

LOL, You forgot to say that I saved Hiro's D200 from eric's mount :) :)

Oh, and Hiro is MUCH MUCH better at chess than Eric is, that was just sad to watch (both times). :)

And, also, the fact that hiro now is aware of every public bathroom from San Diego to the Valley :)

I had such a fun weekend, it will take me a week just to unwind from it. Not to mention all the GIGABYTES of photos to process.

Here is another fun one from Night #1 at the lake house. We all had quite a bit to drink, Eric specially, I have proof:

You guys disappoint me, his adventures with the sink would have been quite the opportunity for water-drop pictures.

Shockingly, Eric was still able to take pics. Here is one of Myself, Hiro and his wife. Notice the empty bottle of 1800 Tequilla, one of two we finished that night.

Looks like you all had a great time.

Eric. Don't you hate it when everyone say you had a lot of fun last night and you say " I did. Oh great ".

Ed has that far away look in his eyes. HirO and his wife look like they are wondering how long before he will drop. I've only known one guy that was from Russia. We all went out one night many many years ago. He was still ordering drinks when everyone else didn't know their own name. Don't try to match drinks with someone from Russia.

Ed, I hope you didn't get a rash or anything being that close to 2 D200s.

I'm not an alchy!!!

No, on a more serious note, I don't think Ed is gonna give up the high ISO performance of the 20D to pick up a D200. Here are some people pics for now (still have a lot of pictures to process). None of these have been run through noise reduction and was taken with only available light (check the exif if you want). :)

Great stuff Eric. Hiro's kid is a freakin' machine, he made me tired just watching him run up and down those stairs. Fun kid :) And poor Lana, she was so sick this whole weekend, a flue w/a fever, and a broken hand. Couldn't go with us anywhere, and was just miserable. She got so attached to Eric.
